Fitzpatrick Adds To Class LL Champion Tigers

Mercy High School (Middletown) sophomore basketball player Maura Fitzpatrick of Cheshire won the Class LL title tonight at Mohegan Sun Arena. The Tigers (top seed; 25-2) beat Lauralton Hall (second) 54-53 on a three-pointer from senior Maria Wesleyj at the buzzer. Fitzpatrick scored 11 points.
Mercy had lost the previous three years in the final.
