CHS Boys' Basketball Bows Out At Bridgeport Central

On Wednesday, Cheshire High School boys' basketball (26th seed; 11-12) finished with a 76-63 loss at Bridgeport Central (10th; 18-4) in the Class LL Second Round. The Hilltoppers out-scored the Rams 27-17 in the fourth quarter.
Senior Eric Dietrich had 20 points and six three-pointers. Junior Collin Jordan and sophomore Andrew Yamin scored 11 each. Seniors Tim Covel (six) and Erik Pettit (five), along with junior Tyler Post (four), totaled 15 points. Senior Kevin Dietrich joined juniors Tom Arisco and Reid Duglenski with baskets.
The Dietrichs, Covel, and Pettit graduate this year.
