CHS Wrestlers Making First Appearances In State Open

Cheshire High School seniors Billy Janes (182 pounds) and Dan Massucci (138), along with junior Jake Cervero (132), will make their wrestling debuts in the State Open at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven. Start time is 4 p.m.
After receiving a first-round bye, Janes will face the winner between Bristol Central senior Gino Rafaniello and New Fairfield senior William Hess. Cervero has a first-round bout against junior David Parmelee of Haddam-Killingworth, while Massucci opens with East Haven junior Anthony Milano.
Saturday action picks up at 10:15 a.m.
