The Blizzard of 2013 canceled a lot of events last weekend.
Many of them, however, have been rescheduled for the next few days.
If you're looking to get out of the house today through Sunday, you still have a chance to check out these events:
Today, Feb. 15
Cheshire Lions Club Wine and Beer Tasting
9 Country Club Road
There will be plenty of hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, and major raffle prizes to be won, generously donated by many local Cheshire area restaurants, stores, and businesses. A diverse selection of wines will be supplied by Cheshire Wine and Spirits. Their representatives will be happy to answer any questions and take wine orders. This year, a sampling of beers will be provided by Connecticut’s own Thomas Hooker Brewery.
Proceeds from this event are used to support community events such as the club’s annual Easter Egg Hunt, club donations to the Cheshire Food Bank, and Liberty Day Booklets for Dodd School, as well Connecticut and International Lions Charities in support of the blind.
Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased at the door.
Saturday, Feb. 16
Apple Valley Bowl
Come enjoy a day of bowling with ,your favorite canine. The Cheshire Dog Park will sponsor its Doggie Bowl this weekend.Those interested can sign. The fee is $20 which includes bowling, pizza, and soda. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call Greg at (860) 459-5044.

Come see local thespians perform Seussical, Jr. this weekend. The performance will feature many of the characters made famous by Dr. Seuss. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased at the door.
