Lucore, Eleanor

CHESHIRE – Eleanor (Casertano) Lucore, 91, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013 at her home. She was the wife of the late Charles E. Lucore, who passed away in 2010.

Mrs. Lucore was born April 22, 1921 in Cheshire, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Philomena (Perrotti) Casertano. She was a longtime Cheshire resident, where she was a communicant of St. Bridget Church. She had worked for many years in the banking industry as well as with her daughter at Elite Travel.

Mrs. Lucore is survived by her son, Dr. Charles L. Lucore and his wife Paula of Springfield, Ill.; her daughter, Candy Nesbit and her husband Richard of Cheshire; her three grandchildren, Taylor Nesbit, Jordan Lucore, and Christopher Lucore; and her sisters, Gloria Drouin of Cheshire and Elaine Perrotti of Woodbridge, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson, Alex Lucore; her brothers, Joseph, Louis, Salvatore, Nicholas, and James; and her sisters Anne Musto, Rose Fazzone, Mary Gaglione, Anntoinette Casertano and Sue Manzolli.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2013, at 8:45 a.m. from the Alderson funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St., to St. Bridget Church for Mass at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Legion of Christ College, 475 Oak Ave., Cheshire, CT 06410.
