Cheshire High School ice hockey (2-10) came back to beat host Guilford (5-4-2) 2-1 in East Haven. Guilford senior James MacKey scored in the second period, but Cheshire added two in the third period. Junior Joe D'Errico evened the game at 1-1. Classmate Luke Vendetto assisted him and then he added the game-winner with 4:29 remaining. Juniors Alex Bausch and Dan Purslow collected assists on the second goal. It was the first win of the season for senior goalkeeper Scott Romano (27 saves). Cheshire took 18 shots against Guilford freshman goalkeeper Brandon Maio.
The Rams travel to the Milford Ice Pavilion next Saturday to play Milford Co-Op at 1 p.m.

Cheshire defeated Bunnell (57-24) while losing against host Maloney (48-25) and Conard (47-27). Seniors Dan Massucci (two pins, 9-1) and Billy Janes (195; three pins), along with junior Jake Cervero (two pins, 16-0), went unbeaten. Senior Carlo Troiano (152; pin, 9-3), juniors Lucas Swan (126; 14-0, forfeit) and Gabe Vega (182; two pins), and sophomore Erik Ravenberg (106; pin, forfeit) won twice. Hunihan (12-6) and sophomore Mohammed Mahmud (170; forfeit) were also victorious.
The Rams visit Branford on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
