Cheshire High School boys' basketball (7-4; 4-1 in Housatonic Division) beat host Sheehan (6-7; 2-3) 63-54 to sweep the series. Senior Eric Dietrich produced 18 points. Sophomore Andrew Yamin added 14 and senior Erik Pettit supplied nine in the team's fourth consecutive win.
The Rams host Amity (9-2; 4-0) on Friday at 7 p.m. The Spartans are the only division team to beat the Rams (59-52) on Dec. 20.
Girls' Basketball (7-7; 3-2)
In another sweep, the Lady Rams ended a four-game skid by beating Lyman Hall (7-6; 2-3) 51-42. Cheshire took the lead by scoring 18 of the 24 points in the second quarter. Senior Molly Jalbert had 11 points and rebounds. Junior Missy Bailey chipped in nine points and eight assists. Sophomore Jill Howard (personal-best eight points) and senior Emma Gorham (seven points) had six rebounds. Junior Lily Dolyak added seven points. Sisters, senior Lauren Como and sophomore Sara Como, scored five and four points, respectively.
Cheshire hosts Shelton (5-8; 1-4) on Friday at 7 p.m. The Lady Rams earned a 38-33 road win on Dec. 20.

Indoor Track and Field
The Southern Connecticut Conference East Sectional starts 4:30 p.m. at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven.
Ice Hockey (1-9)
The Rams host Hamden (5-5-1) at Wesleyan University. Start time is 6 p.m.
Boys' Swim and Dive (5-3)
The Rams welcome eight-time defending Southern Connecticut Conference Champion Fairfield Prep (5-0) at 7 p.m.
Cheshire hosts Fairfield Prep at 6 p.m.
