Raise your glasses in a toast when the Cheshire Lions Club holds a Wine and Beer tasting on Friday, February 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Masonic Temple Hall, 9 Country Club Road.
There will be plenty of hot and cold hors d’oeuvres served as well as major raffle prizes to be won. All prizes are generously donated each year by many local Cheshire area restaurants and other businesses. A diverse selection of wines will be supplied by Cheshire Wine and Spirits located at 583 Highland Ave., and they will be happy to answer any questions you might have regarding specific wines and to take your orders if there is a particular wine you like. This year we will be offering a sampling of beers provided by Thomas Hooker Brewery.
Proceeds from this event are used to support community events such as our annual Easter Egg Hunt, club donations to the Cheshire Food Bank, and Liberty Day Booklets for Dodd Middle School, as well as being used to fund Connecticut and International Lions Club Charities in support of the blind.
Ticket cost for this event is $20 per person, and can be purchased at the door on the night of the event or by contacting Event Chairperson Joyce Wruck at (203) 213-1508 or firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also contact any other Lion member.
