CHS Girls' B-Ball Falls To Second-Half Surge From Panthers

Cheshire High School girls' basketball (6-6; 2-1 in Housatonic Division) lost 71-47 against defending Southern Connecticut Conference Champion Career Magnet (8-2). The Panthers produced a 41-23 advantage after halftime. Junior Missy Bailey had 16 points (three three-pointers) and five rebounds. Senior Emma Gorham, junior Bryanna McIntosh, sophomores Kya O'Donnell and Sara Como supplied six points. Como was six-for-six at the foul line. Senior Molly Jalbert, junior Lily Dolyak, and freshman Nillie Burton added two points. Senior Lauren Como chipped in a point.
Career junior Tanaya Atkinson scored 22 points.
Cheshire visits Amity (8-3; 2-1) on Friday at 7 p.m.

Cheshire travels to East Haven on Thursday at 6 p.m.
Ice Hockey (0-8)
The Rams have rescheduled their home game with Tri-Town to Monday. Start time is 6:15 p.m. at Wesleyan University. Cheshire hosts top-ranked Fairfield Prep (8-0) on Friday at Northford Ice Pavilion. That time is 8:30 p.m.
