Have Some Cheshire Herald Memories? We Want To Hear Them In 2013

January 10, 2013 by John Rook

The first edition of The Cheshire Herald was published on February 4, 1953.
For the last 60 years, Cheshire has established itself as your hometown newspaper, covering the events that have marked the time in town over the decades.
In honor of our 60th anniversary, The Cheshire Herald will be “celebrating” all year long. Beginning in February, we will take time each month to look back at the stories and incidents that have made news over the last six decades, filling up the pages of this publication. We will also have guest columnists writing about Cheshire throughout the years, and how times have changed.
We also want to hear from you.
We invite any and all members of the public to share any fond memories you may have of The Cheshire Herald over the years. Was it a story about a friend or relative? Perhaps a picture that captured a special moment. Maybe it was simply a memorable article that touched you in some way.
Whatever the case may be, we are asking that anyone interested send their letter to We will be printing them throughout the year, so feel free to send them along at any time.
We look forward to hearing your story.
