Lady Rams End Drought Against Academics

On Tuesday, Cheshire girls' basketball (2-0) beat Hillhouse (1-2) 53-43 for first time in 18 years! Cheshire led 28-11 at halftime and 33-11 in the third quarter. Junior Missy Bailey had 21 points (game-high), 14 in the second quarter! She made 7-9 free throws and added six steals. Bailey and senior Lauren Como (16 points, five rebounds) made two three-pointers and a four-point play. Como was 4-5 on free throws. Her sophomore sister Sara supplied nine points and four rebounds. Senior Molly Jalbert pulled down seven rebounds. Classmate Emma Gorham picked four rebounds. Cheshire (16-32) and Hillhouse (15-32) took 64 free throws!
Cheshire hosts Sacred Heart Academy on Thursday at 7 p.m.
