The following was received from the Cheshire Police Department:
Cheshire Animal Control reports that a skunk killed by three dogs on Wolf Hill Road on Tuesday, Dec. 4, tested positive for rabies.
The three dogs killed the skunk in their own yard and were all current with their rabies vaccinations. The dogs were re-boostered against rabies and will be kept on a strict home confinement observation period for 45 days, per state mandate.
