Cell Tower Planned In Cheshire

November 23, 2012 by Josh Morgan

The Town Council is prepared to vote on a proposal to construct a cell tower on the Wastewater Treatment Plant property.
The Council's Planning Committee met with the vendor last week and has forwarded the proposal to the full Town Council. The group is expected to vote on the matter on Tuesday, Dec. 11.
The Town would be approximately 170 feet tall and will be surrounded by a fence. The town will be compensated $24,000 annually by Homeland Towers, who would own the cell tower. Homeland Towers will also pay the town 20 percent of its revenue garnered by renting out site on the tower to various carriers.
