CHS Football Ends Season On Thanksgiving At Southington

Cheshire High School football (6-4) ended the season with a 38-13 loss at Southington (10-0). The loss ended a five-game streak in the Apple Valley Classic (9-8 CHS). Scoring summary is below:
First Quarter
10-yard touchdown from Southington junior Stephen Barmore (8:36) 7-0, SHS
Point after touchdown by junior Kyle Smick
35-yard field goal from Smick (0:00) 10-0, SHS
Second Quarter
Five-yard score from Southington junior Tyler Hyde (9:29) 17-0, SHS
PAT by Smick was good
One-yard touchdown from Southington junior Zach Maxwell (4:46) 24-0, SHS
PAT from Smick was good
Third Quarter
Eight-yard touchdown from Southington junior Jarrid Grimmett (6:08) 31-0, SHS
PAT by Smick was good
Five-yard touchdown from senior Vin Sansone (2:38) 31-6, SHS
PAT from junior Tyler Bailey failed
Fourth Quarter
Eight-yard score by Barmore (6:43) 38-6, SHS
PAT by Smick was good
16-yard touchdown by senior Sam Pascale (4:51) 38-13, SHS
PAT by senior Joe Nowak was good
Sansone and classmate Beau Bartone (Defensive; interception) were MVPs in the loss. Sophomore Jack Cunningham also had an interception.
Southington's Maxwell (Overall/Defensive) and the offensive line (Offensive) were recognized. Senior Justin Rose collected a fumble for the Blue Knights.
