Congregation Kol Ami and Temple Beth David will join together to kindle the first lights of Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights, on Saturday, Dec. 8 starting at 5:30 p.m. at Congregation Kol Ami, 1484 Highland Ave.
Rabbi Ratner, from Kol Ami, and Rabbi Whinston and Cantor Sara, from Temple Beth David, will lead a Havdallah service and menorah candle lighting at 5:45 p.m.. Everyone is encouraged to bring their own menorah so they can light as many lights as possible to welcome the holiday.
A Hanukkah dinner of latkes, eggplant parmesan, and more will be followed by many fun activities for the kids. They will play dreidel games, sing songs, tell holiday stories, enjoy crafts, and more!
Hanukkah activities are free and open to the public. Dinner is $10 per adult, $5 per child ages 4 – 12, children under age 3 are free.
