Police Release Surveillance Photo Of Dunkin' Donuts Robber

November 16, 2012 by John Rook

Robber photo.pngThe Cheshire Police Department has circulated a flyer around town alerting residents of two robberies that occurred on South Main Street in the last two weeks, and have included the photo of one of the perpetrators.
The grainy image (shown to the left) shows a man dressed in a blue hooded sweat shirt. His facial features are not easily recognizable, but police hope it may be good enough to lead to an arrest.
The description of the man is as follows: White male with blonde or light colored mustache, approximately 35-50 years old
wearing hooded sweatshirt and jeans, approximately 6 feet tall, medium to athletic build.
The image was captured by a surveillance camera in the Dunkin' Donuts at 310 South Main Street on Nov. 8, when police report the man in the image entered the store and told an employee that he had a knife. There were no other customers in the store during the incident, police report.
The robber made off with approximately $250.
The next day, the Dairy Queen at 1062 South Main Street was also robbed by a man claiming to have a weapon. Police are investigating whether the two robberies are linked.
Anyone with information should contact the Cheshire Police Department Detective Division at (203) 271-5537.
