It’s Christmas time again!
While we might still be a few days away from Thanksgiving, Christmas is already on the minds of many Cheshire residents.
Songs are beginning to pop up on the radio, stores are decorated with trees and tinsel, and people are already beginning to ask that yearly question: “What do you want in your stocking?”
It might be stressful at times, but Christmas is still considered one of the more joyous times of year, helping people make magical memories and lasting bonds.
Has that happened for you?
Is there a true Christmas story in your past that means the most? Is there a gift, a trip, a reunion that happened on or around Christmas that touched your heart and remains a treasured memory to this day?
If so, The Cheshire Herald wants to hear it.
Will you share your story with us?
We are looking for true stories of Christmas’ past. It can be something funny, ridiculous, heartwarming, or even sad. It can be something from your childhood or recent past. All we ask is that it be true and memorable.
The Cheshire Herald will publish the submissions in the Dec. 20 edition of the paper — the last edition before Christmas. All residents interested are encouraged to submit their story, as long as it complies with a 150 word limit.
All submissions must include name, telephone number, and hours available for contact so that
we can verify the submission was written by the undersigned (only the name will be published).
The Herald will make every effort to publish all stories submitted, however, because of space limitations it may be necessary to post additional stories on our website.
Those interested in submitting a story may do so via email at firstname.lastname@example.org (include “Cheshire Herald Christmas Story” in subject line) or through our website. You may also submit a story by mailing or dropping it off to our office at 1079 South Main Street, Cheshire, CT 06410.
The Herald cannot guarantee that every story submitted will be published. The deadline for submitting a story is Dec. 17.
