CHS Football Shuts Down Host Hamden

Cheshire High School football (6-3) won 33-0 at Hamden (1-7). It was their second shutout in a row. Scoring summary:
Second Quarter
82-yard touchdown from senior Sam Pascale (8:19) 0-6, CHS
Point after touchdown from junior Tyler Bailey failed
10-yard touchdown from senior Vin Sansone to classmate Tim Covel (1:05) 0-12, CHS
Two-point conversion attempt failed
Third Quarter
16-yard score from Sansone to sophomore Andrew Yamin (8:54) 0-20, CHS
Two-point conversion by Sansone was good
Six-yard touchdown by Sansone (35.3 seconds) 0-26, CHS
Two-point conversion attempt failed
Fourth Quarter
19-yard touchdown from Sansone to Covel (9:00) 0-33, CHS
PAT from Bailey was good

Cheshire has ensured a winning season for the first time in three years. The Rams end the regular season when visiting undefeated Southington (9-0) on Thanksgiving at 10:30 a.m. Cheshire has won five straight meetings to take a 9-7 edge in the Apple Valley Classic.
