Nearly two hours after all polls closed in Connecticut, two races of local interest are still too close to call. According to numbers provided to The Cheshire Herald, Republican Lezlye Zupkus, a newcomer to politics, is up by a slim margin over long-time incumbent State Representative Vickie Nardello (D) in the 89th District. In the race for the 13th State Senate seat, incumbent Republican State Senator Len Suzio and his challenger Democrat Dante Bartolomeo are locked in a tight race that cannot be determined at this time.
