Saturday's CHS Varsity Schedule!

Saturday’s Cheshire High School varsity slate has three home games at Alumni Field:
Field Hockey (14-2; Southern Connecticut Conference Champion at 10-0)
By virtue of going unbeaten for the second year in a row, the Lady Rams are the top seed again for the SCC Tournament. CHS hosts Sacred Heart Academy (eighth; 3-11-1-1) in Saturday's quarterfinal at 3 p.m. Cheshire won 9-0 on Oct. 9.
Saturday's other quarterfinals
Hamden (fifth; 11-4-1) at Branford (fourth; 9-3-3-1) 4 p.m.
Mercy (seventh; 6-8-1) at Daniel Hand (second; 11-4-1) 2 p.m.
Amity (sixth; 4-7-4) at Guilford (third; 8-5-3) 3:30 p.m.
Semifinals (CHS)
Monday; 5 and 7 p.m.
Final (CHS)
Tuesday; 6 p.m.
Cheshire beat host Guilford 2-1 (overtime) for their first tournament title last year!
Girls’ Soccer (12-2-2; Housatonic Division Champion at 6-0-2)
Cheshire (second) hosts Daniel Hand (seventh; 10-6) in the SCC quarterfinals at 3:30 p.m. CHS swept Hand on Sept. 14 (4-1) and Oct. 6 (3-1).
CHS is the defending SCC Champion (six all-time).

Guilford (eighth; 6-9-2) 0, Mercy (top; 14-2-2) 1

CHS football holds Senior Night against East Haven (1-5) at 6:30 p.m.. Twenty minutes before kick-off, the senior ceremony will begin. Players include: Matt Escoto (captain), Sam Pascale (captain), Vin Sansone (captain), Beau Bartone, Cody Brissette, Tim Covel, Kevin Dietrich, Matt Gardiner, Colin Harding, Kyle Hodgdon, Joe Nowak, Erik Pierson, Tyler Sheehan. Cheerleaders: Marisa Pisani (captain), Paige Slack (captain), Samantha Clark, Mary Jo Fisher, Ciera Hernandez, Whitney Lorello.
There is free admission for parents of East Haven football players. All East Haven residents can receive complimentary hot dog and pizza at the concession stand.
