SCC Playoff Changes!

Due to the inpending Hurrican Sandy, Southern Connecticut Conference playoffs have been postponed on Monday and Tuesday. Updates are below:
Field Hockey (14-2; SCC Champion at 10-0)
CHS (top seed) hosts Sacred Heart Academy (eighth; 3-11-1-1) in Wednesday's quarterfinal at Alumni Field. Start time is 3:45 p.m. Cheshire won 9-0 on Oct. 9.
Wednesday's other quarterfinals at 3:45 p.m.
Hamden (fifth; 11-4-1) at Branford (fourth; 9-3-3-1)
Mercy (seventh; 6-8-1) at Daniel Hand (second; 11-4-1)
Amity (sixth; 4-7-4) at Guilford (third; 8-5-3)
Thursday's semifinals (CHS)
5:30 and 7 p.m.
Saturday's Final (CHS)
2:30 p.m.
Cheshire beat host Guilford 2-1 (overtime) for their first tournament title last year!
Girls' Volleyball (17-1; Housatonic Division Champion at 7-1)
Cheshire has secured the SCC top seed and will host Sheehan (eighth; 12-7) in Wednesday's quarterfinal. Start time is 6 p.m. Sheehan beat Lyman Hall (ninth; 11-8) 3-2 (18-25, 26-24, 25-17, 24-26, 15-13) in Saturday's First Round. CHS beat the Titans on Sept. 21 (3-0) and Oct. 10 (3-1).

The Lady Rams are the defending champion (SCC record eight titles)!
Girls' Soccer (12-2-2; Housatonic Champion at 6-0-2)
The Lady Rams (second seed) are the defending SCC champions (six titles overall). Their quarterfinal with Daniel Hand (seventh; 10-6) has been pushed back to Wednesday. Time has yet to be announced. CHS swept Hand on Sept. 14 (4-1) and Oct. 6 (3-1).

Monday's trials at Cheshire Community Pool have been canceled. Diving has postponed to a later date. Cheshire visits Southern Connecticut State University on Thursday for the Swim Final at 6 p.m.
CHS (835.5 points) finished second to Amity (882.5) last year.
