CHS Cross Country Set To Face Class LL, Girls' Volleyball Receives SCC Top Seed

Cheshire High School girls’ (10:20 a.m.) and boys’ (10:55 a.m.) cross country runs in the Class LL Championship at Manchester’s Wickham Park.
Girls’ Volleyball (17-1; Housatonic Division Champion at 7-1)
Cheshire has secured the Southern Connecticut Conference top seed and will host a quarterfinal on Tuesday. Start time is currently slated at 6 p.m. CHS will meet the winner of Saturday's match between Housatonic rivals Lyman Hall (ninth; 11-7) and Sheehan (eighth; 11-7) at 12 p.m. Cheshire beat both of those teams twice this year.
Remainder of Saturday's First Round:
Jonathan Law (11th; 9-9) at Branford (sixth; 13-5) 4 p.m.
Guilford (10th; 10-8) at East Haven (seventh; 12-6) 1:30 p.m.
Tuesday's other quarterfinals:
East Haven/Guilford at Mercy (second; 15-3) 3:45 p.m.
Jonathan Law/Branford at Amity (third; 14-4) 3:45 p.m.
Joseph Foran (fifth; 13-5) at Sacred Heart Academy (fourth; 14-4) 6 p.m.
Thursday's semifinals at higher seeds
Saturday's Final starts 6 p.m. at North Haven
