Cheshire Junior Football eighth graders secured their sixth consecutive victory, 16-8 over Wallingford, last Sunday to close out the regular season at 6-2. After also dropping their first two games, fifth graders collected a fifth straight win 32-0 against Branford. Also at Cheshire High School’s Alumni Field, seventh grade ‘A’ (4-3) posted a 34-0 shutout of Wallingford.
Seventh grade ‘B’ had their undefeated season stopped (6-1) by host Madison 22-6. In a tight game, sixth graders (4-3) fell 7-6 at Guilford.
Fourth graders traveled last Saturday. The ‘A’ team (3-4) lost 26-13 in Manchester, while the ‘B’ (2-5) came up short 31-20 to host North Haven.
