CJF Returns After Shutting Out Three Rivals Last Week

Cheshire Junior Football & Cheerleading hosted five games at Cheshire High School last Sunday. Seventh grade ‘B’ beat North Branford 28-0 to improve to 6-0. Seventh grade ‘A’ knocked off Old Saybrook 32-0, while fourth grade ’A’ also earned a 25-0 shutout of Tri-Town. Both these teams moved to 3-3.
Also, at home, sixth grade (4-2) and fourth grade ’B’ (2-4) fell 24-0 and 25-6, respectively, against East Haven.
In Branford, eighth graders (5-2) took their fifth straight win 28-6. Fifth grade (4-2) earned a 24-6 road victory in Simsbury, their fourth in a row.
Today’s schedule includes three home games at Alumni Field:
Eighth Grade
Vs. Wallingford 11 a.m.
Seventh Grade ‘A’
Vs. Wallingford 1 p.m.
Fifth Grade
Vs. Branford 3 p.m.
Seventh Grade ‘B’ travels to the Surf Club to play host Madison at 11 a.m. Sixth graders visit Guilford at 1 p.m.
