Cheshire High School girls' volleyball improved to 12-0 (6-0 in Housatonic Division) by beating Lyman Hall 3-1. Game scores were 25-14, 25-11, 11-25, 25-20. Seniors Amanda Palladino (11 kills, four blocks), Lisa Walle (seven kills, three digs), junior Becca Ligi (four kills and digs), and sophomore Sarah Rodgers (21 assists, six digs) helped their cause.
The girls visit Amity (9-3; 4-1) on Monday at 5:30 p.m. With a victory, Cheshire would earn a school record fifth straight division title for Head Coach Sue Bavone. The Lady Rams won 3-1 on Sept. 28.

Girls' Swim And Dive (7-0)
At Cheshire Community Pool, Cheshire knocked off Daniel Hand (8-3) 97-78. Senior Maegan McGee (50-yard freestyle, 26.68) and junior Denise Costello (100-yard breaststroke, 1:14.69) won individually, along with joining seniors Tiffany Wang and Jenna Cannata for first place in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:45.65). Senior Taylor Deubel won the 200-yard individual medley (2:20.59) and with her 200-yard medley team (junior Laura Mongillo, sophomore Delaney Molnar, Cannata; 1:58.09). Cheshire also picked up victories from sophomores Sara Barlok (100-yard backstroke, 1:02.51), Erin Mostoller (one-meter dive, 170.33), Taylor Plumley (500-yard freestyle, 5:25.33), and Lindsay Smalec (100-yard butterfly, 1:01.38).

Girls' Soccer (9-1-1; 4-0-1)
At Wilbur Cross, the Lady Rams collected their fourth straight win 2-1 against host New Haven Co-Op to take the series. Junior Leah Chamberlin had never had a game-winner until scoring in scoring in the 39th minute. Sophomore Alexandra Pelletier had the assist.
Sophomore Kathleen Castrilli, assisted by junior Lily Dolyak, tied the game 1-1. Cheshire led 19-6 in shots.
CHS visits Sheehan (4-2-4; 1-2-1) on Monday at 7:30 p.m. Cheshire won 5-0 on Sept. 29.
Boys' Soccer (5-4-2; 3-2-1)
The Rams lost 1-0 on Sept. 25 at Lyman Hall, but at home, Cheshire came from behind to defeat their rival 3-2 at Alumni Field. For the second game in a row, senior Matt Mueller had the decisive goal (5:41 left). This time, freshman Jake Goldstein collected the assist.
Senior Nick Berardi and sophomore Zach Winch both tied the score. It was the first varsity goal from Winch. Mueller recorded the assist. Cheshire shut out the Trojans in the second half after entering the break down 2-1. Senior goalkeeper Evan Colechia came up with seven saves.
Cheshire hosts Branford (7-1-2) on Monday at Alumni Field. Start time is 3:45 p.m. The Rams lost 3-2 on Sept. 29 in Branford.
Field Hockey (10-1; 6-0 in Southern Connecticut Conference)
Cheshire visits Daniel Hand (8-3) at 10:30 a.m. The Lady Rams shut them out 2-0 on Sept. 19.
Boys' Cross Country (7-2; 3-1 in Housatonic)
The Rams compete in the Nonnewaug High School Invitational at 10 a.m.
