CHS Football Falls Down Quickly Against Jesuits

Cheshire High School football (3-2) lost 39-6 against Fairfield Prep (4-1) on Friday at Alumni Field. The Rams, who fumbled twice in the first quarter, trailed 21-6 at halftime. Scoring summmary is below:
First Quarter
One-yard touchdown from Fairfield Prep senior Strecker Backe (6:49) 0-7, Jesuits
Point after touchdown from senior Liam Coyle was good
12-yard score from Fairfield Prep senior Dillon Ryan (3:52) 0-14, Jesuits
PAT from Coyle was good
Second Quarter
Nine-yard touchdown from sophomore Jack Cunningham (8:01) 6-14, Jesuits
PAT from junior Tyler Bailey was blocked
Six-yard score from Backe to classmate Chris Golger (3:50) 6-21, Jesuits
PAT by Coyle was good
Third Quarter
25-yard touchdown from Fairfield Prep sophomore John Moten (6:03) 6-27, Jesuits
PAT from Coyle failed
Fourth Quarter
Five-yard score from Ryan (8:15) 6-33, Jesuits
Two-point conversion attempt failed
11-yard touchdown by Fairfield Prep junior Nicholas Crowle (6:51) 6-39, Jesuits
