CHS Football Shuts Down host Branford For Second Win

Cheshire High School football is 2-0 after winning 20-0 at Branford (1-1) last evening. After leading 7-0 at halftime, CHS scored twice more. Scoring summary is below:
Second Quarter
19-yard touchdown from sophomore Jack Cunningham (8:43) 0-7, Cheshire
Point after touchdown from freshman Matt D'Andrea was good
Third Quarter
Three-yard score from senior Vin Sansone (9:21) 0-14, Cheshire
PAT from D'Andrea was good
Fourth Quarter
Two-yard touchdown from senior Sam Pascale (7:59) 0-20, Cheshire
PAT from D'Andrea failed

Cheshire visits Madison's Surf Club next Friday to play unbeaten Daniel Hand, the reigning Class L Champion, at 7 p.m. Hand has won 15 straight games dating back to last fall.
