Power Outages Reported In Cheshire

Heavy winds and rain have pounded the area since early afternoon Tuesday, resulting in several power outages in Cheshire.
According to Connecticut Light and Power's website, 51 customers were without power as of 4:30 p.m. That constitutes less than one percent of the more than 11,000 CL&P customers suffering a loss of electricity, however wind advisories remain in effect through the early evening hours. Gusts of up to 60 miles per hour are possible.
