It didn't start the way Cheshire had intended, but it sure ended they way they wanted.
In its football home opener, the Cheshire High School football team overcame a 16-0 deficit against Shelton to win 30-23. The game featured a pair of Cheshire players - Vin Sansone and Sam Pascale - rush for over 100 yards and score two touchdowns a piece as the Rams won their first game of the year.
