Last weekend was quite successful for the seventh graders of Cheshire Junior Football & Cheerleading. The 'A' team (2-0) won 34-0 at Manchester, while the 'B' team started their season with a 41-14 victory over host Tri-Town. In other opening wins, sixth graders beat host Simsbury 38-31 and fourth grade 'A' earned a 19-6 win in Branford. At Cheshire Alumni Turf and Track, eighth grade (0-2) fell 38-20 to North Haven and fourth grade ‘B’ (1-1) came up short 20-0 against Manchester.
Today's schedule includes three home games. Sixth graders host Tri-Town at 11 a.m., fifth grade (0-1) plays Madison at 1 p.m., and fourth grade 'A' finishes up against North Branford at 3 p.m. Road games are listed:
