The temperatures are suppose to rise today but that doesn't mean you have to stay indoors. If you're looking for something to do, there are two events happening in town that might peak your interest.
The first is the Art Walk event that will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Artist's exhibits will be located on the courtyard and walkways of the two-level Watch Factory Shoppes. A wide range of artists, including many from Artsplace, will have their work presented, and those attending will get to see many different mediums represented.
Next is the Cheshire Horse Council Pig Roast, being held from 6 to 11 p.m. at Hunter's Glenn, 1190 South Meriden Road. There will be live music by the band Gunsmoke and a swimming pool will be available, so bring your bathing suit. Everyone attending is asked to bring a dish and a chair on which to sit. Those with last names beginning with an A through H are asked to bring and appetizer, I through Q a hot dish, and R through Z a salad. The event is also BYOB, although soda will be provided as well as dessert.
Price of admission is $20 for adults, $10 for children between the ages of 11 and 16. Children under 10 are admitted for free. The event is scheduled rain or shine.
