Artsplace, home of the Cheshire Performing and Fine Arts Committee (CPFA) is pleased to co-sponsor the First Annual Funky Art Walk on the open air courtyards of the Watch Factory Shoppes of Cheshire. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and exhibits will be located on the courtyard and walkways of the two-level Watch Factory Shoppes.
Several artists will represent Artsplace in the courtyard. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Robin McCahill will demonstrate felting techniques on a puppet, Katie Stein will offer a hands-on activity for children, ages 8 and up, called “Duct Tape Wallets” from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 3 to 5 p.m. Tony Ruggiero will demonstrate Pen & Ink techniques.
The daylong art event, co-sponsored by Sally Bowman Real Estate and Drescher Insurance of Cheshire, will feature exhibits for sale and free demonstrations by an eclectic mix of artisan jewelers, potters, art t-shirt designers, watercolor and oil painters, photographers and digital artists. Ample parking is available both at The Watch Factory Shoppes at 130 Elm Street and also across the street at the Town Hall.
