Alphabet Garden Closing Its Doors At The End Of The Month

July 18, 2012 by Special To The ...

The following release was received by The Alphabet Garden Bookstore:

After seven years of being Cheshire's family bookstore, The Alphabet Garden Bookstore will be closing its doors for good by the end of this month. In an already challenging economy, sales are also being impacted by the rise of the E-book. Owner Karlene Rearick stated, "This was a difficult decision to make because we have many customers who prefer the physical book and we would love to be able to continue providing the same service that we have become known for. We have enjoyed being able to bring readers and authors together as part of our mission to promote a love of reading. We will miss our storytimes and birthday parties, and the other events we have hosted that have given us the opportunity to get to know the children and families in our community."
Everything in the store is discounted. Bookshelves and fixtures are also for sale. If interested, inquire at the store. Don't forget to use up any gift certificates that you may have. For more information, call (203) 439-7766. The Alphabet Garden Bookstore is located in the Country Plaza at 1097 South Main Street.
