Friends of Boulder Knoll, Inc., a local educational and advocacy group, announces its upcoming “Casual Evening on the Farm.” The evening, a fundraiser for the organization, will be a fun, family friendly, and delicious celebration at the beautiful Boulder Knoll Community Farm in Cheshire. The event will take place on July 17 from 5 to 7 p.m.
The evening will include a dinner provided by the Caseus Cheese Truck, including grilled cheese sandwiches—deemed “perfect” by Readers’ Digest Magazine—with farm-fresh sides, plus dessert provided by Jordan Caterers, which has been awarded Connecticut Magazine’s Best of Connecticut award for 11 straight years.
Jason Sobocinski, owner of Caseus Fromagerie and Bistro in New Haven and host of The Big Cheese on Cooking Channel will make a special appearance and sign copies of his latest book, “Caseus Fromagerie Bistro Cookbook: Every Cheese Has a Story.”
The evening will also include hayrides through a wildflower garden, tours of the farm, a tea-cup raffle, and a child-friendly education station. Tickets are $30 for adults, and $5 for children, and are available for purchase online at www.friendsofboulderknoll.com/evening. Tax-deductible donations are also greatly appreciated.
The event is presented with generous support from Caseus Bistro of New Haven (www.caseusnewhaven.com) and Jordan Caterers of Cheshire (www.jordancaterers.com).
