Want To Learn An Easier Way To Tackle Math? Local Resident Will Offer Up Tips

July 9, 2012 by John Rook

Cheshire resident Ruth Sullo describes herself as a "freedom fighter," trying to get people to better understand the tricky world of mathematics.
As such, Sullo is offering up her course entitled "Square Ruth", a mathematics empowerment course that will be offered every Thursday night in August and September. There, Sullo will explain one of the great paradoxes when it comes to learning math: the smarter a person is, the harder it might be for them to learn the subject.
Sullo uses different techniques to bring math to her students, from neuro-linguistic programming to brain theory. All of it is in an effort to help those better understand a subject that intimidates many.
For more on Sullo and her course, see an upcoming edition of The Cheshire Herald.
