Plan Calls For Solan At CHS, Wailonis Back At Dodd, Superintendent States

June 27, 2012 by John Rook

The announcement that Cheshire High School Principal Kevin Ryan was stepping down came less than a week ago.
It didn't take long for a suggested replacement to be found.
Superintendent of Schools Dr. Greg Florio confirmed to The Herald this week that he intends to recommend Dodd Middle School Principal Jeff Solan for the CHS position. Solan has been principal at Dodd for three years.
With that, an opening will be created at Dodd and Florio indicated that the likely plan would be for former Dodd principal Donald Wailonis, who retired three years ago but served as an assistant to Highland School Principal Beverly Scully, would take over at the middle school on an interim basis.
