WOLCOTT – Mrs. Patricia M.(O’Brien) Hardick, 77, of Wolcott, died on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Saint Mary’s Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. She was the widow of Everett J. Hardick, Sr.

Patricia was born in Newton, New Jersey, on July 1, 1934, daughter of the late Clarence O’Brien and Sadie (McMickle) O’Brien. Patricia was raised and educated in New Jersey, moving to Cheshire, Conn. in 1984, then to Wolcott, Conn. in 2003. She was the head secretary for the E & J Parts Cleaning Inc. in Waterbury for over 30 years. Patricia enjoyed car rides to the Connecticut River, traveling to the casino, but her true love was her family.

She leaves one daughter; Patricia (Patti) Smith and her husband Jason of North Stonington, Conn.; four sons, Paul “Abie” E. O’Brien and his wife Vickie, and Andrew T. O’Brien and his wife Jennifer, both of Statesboro, Ga., Ronald E. Hardick and his wife Mary and Everett “Ebbie” J. Hardick, Jr. and his wife Maryanne, both of Waterbury, Conn.; one brother, Roger O’Brien of New Jersey; 11 grandchildren, Kaylyn Votto, Emily Votto, Kristen O’Brien, Andrew T. O’Brien, Jr., Bradley O’Brien, Zachary O’Brien, Timothy O’Brien, Samantha Nesmith, Robert Davenport, Michelle Hardick and Michael Hardick; nine great-grandchildren, Sloan, Kincaid, Kaz, Jordyn, Alyssa, Alexis, Robert, Caroline and Aiden; and also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five brothers, Eston, Gerald, Mitt, Lee and Eddie O’Brien; and two sisters, Virginia Kimble and Reba Nadeau.

Calling hours were on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Pkwy., Waterbury. Funeral Service was on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
