When Cheshire High School Principal Kevin Ryan left his position earlier this month in what was described as "medical leave" at the time, questions surfaced as to whether Ryan would return for the next school year.
Those questions were answered Wednesday.
Superintendent of Schools Dr. Greg Florio confirmed that Ryan would officially resign his position at the end of this month. The news comes a little less than three years after Ryan took over the principal position for Judith Gallagher.
According to Florio, both he and Ryan had come to the decision several weeks ago that he would step down at the end of the year, but agreed that no official announcement would be made until after graduation. It is still unclear as to what transpired over the last few months to force such a decision.
