The Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS) is pleased to announce that its highly acclaimed, school-based fitness and nutrition program, Rod Dixon’s KiDSMARATHON, is rounding up its fourth successful year at Cheshire High School this Saturday, May 19. Between now and June 9, over 2,000 students aged 7 to 12 will successfully complete their KiDSMARATHON program at various locations across the state.
Throughout the course of the program, participating students will engage in weekly fitness training while accumulating a personal distance of 25 miles. Students follow a KiDSMARATHON training guide containing nutritional information, warm up exercises, drills, games, cool-down activities, and much more. At the end of the program all schools and students that participate will join in regional KiDSMARATHON Celebrations, running the final mile of the “marathon” together.
On May 19, KiDSMARATHON will come to Cheshire High School where over 600 students will join to celebrate the completion of their program. Students from 14 schools will be in attendance.
