Cheshire Rugby Club Competes In Final Stretch

The 'A' sides of the Cheshire Rugby Club both were both defeated by visiting Simsbury on April 29. In the Inaugural home match at Cheshire Alumni Turf and Track, the girls came up short 12-10. Olivia Monroe is pictured scoring the first try. Tesni Phillips also scored.
The boys were tied 7-7 at halftime, but then Simsbury scored the next 21 points for a 28-7 win. Joe Phillips added the conversion kick after a try by Eric Gatski.
In today's action, the girls (3-1) earned a 34-5 win at Algonquin High School (Mass.). Boys (3-4) pulled out a 26-22 victory. Boys' 'B' contributed a 29-5 win in the sweep. Find scorers by reading Thursday's issue of The Cheshire Herald.
