Cheshire High School boys' lacrosse (6-5) earned a 9-4 win at Glastonbury (9-2). Head Coach Rich Pulisciano collected his 200th victory! Senior goalkeeper Will Devine supplied 14 saves. Junior Chris Trasacco posted a personal-best three assists and five points, joining classmate Tom Dupont and senior Kevin Adams (assist) with two goals. Seniors Spencer Hackett and Tyler Violano each added two assists, adding a goal with freshman Matt Blois. At the face-off, junior Dan Brennan controlled six of 10 attempts.
Cheshire hosts Notre Dame-West Haven (6-4) for Senior Night on May 10 at 7 p.m. Fifteen players will be recognized prior to the game.
Girls' Lacrosse (9-2)
Cheshire earned their fifth straight win 19-5 against Amity (3-8-1). Cheshire used a 14-0 run to turn a 4-4 tie into a 18-4 lead.
Junior Kathleen Kalbian posted a personal-best five assists, scoring twice. Senior Maria Blois compiled four goals and an assist. Four goals was a career-best for junior Alison Hoynes. Sophomore Emma Farrel had three goals and assists each before halftime during which CHS led 13-4. Senior Alyssa Hague also contributed a hat trick. Senior Ashleigh Battle (assist), along with sophomores Michelle Federico (assist) and Danielle Chambrelli, added goals. Junior Christy Myjak had two assists. Classmate Nicole Stauffer had one assist. Senior goalkeeper Cortney Andes made six saves, shutting out the Spartans for a span of 36 minutes and 43 seconds.
Cheshire visits Mercy (1-9) on Monday at 4 p.m.
Boys' Golf (7-2; 5-2 in Housatonic Division)
Junior Eric Dietrich and sophomore Jake Ecke both shot 38, earning co-medalist during a 163-170 win over Fairfield Prep at the Farms Country Club. Freshman Chris Simione (42) and junior Mike Stanton (45) also contributed.
Cheshire visits the Country Club of Woodbridge to play host Amity (9-2-1) on Monday at 2 p.m.
