Friday's Cheshire High School varsity schedule includes:
Boys' Tennis (11-1)
Head Coach Jim Matthews goes for his 250th victory against Notre Dame-West Haven (7-4) at 3:45 p.m. In 16 years, Matthews has a 249-50 record. CHS has won 10 matches in a row.
Softball (8-5; 3-2 in Housatonic Division)
Cheshire hosts Sheehan (9-3; 3-1) at 3:45 p.m. Sheehan won 9-3 on April 18.
Baseball (2-11; 0-5)
Cheshire aims to break a nine-game skid when they visit Sheehan (6-7; 2-3) at 3:45 p.m. Sheehan outlasted them 4-1 on April 18 in nine innings.
Girls' Tennis (2-5)
CHS travels to defending Southern Connecticut Conference Champion Amity (9-1) at 3:45 p.m. In the April 4 opener, Amity earned a 6-1 win.
Boys' Volleyball (9-0)
Cheshire has won 31 straight matches heading into Shelton (1-10). Start time is 5:30 p.m. Cheshire beat Shelton 3-1 on April 9.
