Wednesday's Cheshire High School varsity action includes:
Girls' Tennis (2-4)
Cheshire hosts Sheehan at 3:45 p.m.
Boys' Tennis (10-1)
CHS brings a nine-match win streak into Cromwell's Watrous Park to meet host Xavier. Start time is 3:45 p.m.
Head Coach Jim Matthews is two wins away from 250!
Softball (7-5; 2-2 in Housatonic Division)
CHS visits Lyman Hall (2-8; 0-4) at 3:45 p.m. The Lady Rams won the first meeting 17-1 on April 16.
Cheshire is one win away from qualifying for the Class LL Tournament!
Baseball (2-10; 0-4)
The Rams look to end a string of 34 innings without a run and snap an eight-game slide against Shelton (9-3; 3-1) at 4 p.m. Shelton earned a 8-2 home victory on April 16.
Boys' Volleyball (8-0)
In the battle of unbeatens, Cheshire hosts Newington (8-0) at 6 p.m. Both matches went to five games last season, with CHS winning both thrillers. The Rams have won 30 straight matches.
