CHESHIRE – David E. Rochford, 68, passed away on April 25, 2012 at Elim Park Baptist Home. He was the husband of Jill (Black) Rochford.

David was born on July 2, 1943 in Waterbury, the son of the late Raymond and Mary (Bowman) Rochford. He was National Sales Manager for International Silver Company; a Senior Vice President of J. Edward Connelly Inc. and Vice President of Peterboro Basket Company before his retirement in 2004. He enjoyed playing cards as well as collecting classic cars.

Besides his wife of almost 50 years, David is survived by his son, David Rochford of Cheshire; his daughter, Christine L. Robidoux of Cheshire; his grandsons, David, James, Brett, and Taylor Rochford and Matthew, Bradley, and Philip Robidoux; his mother-in-law, Doris Black; his sister-in-law, Darcy Keough; his two nieces; and many cousins. He was predeceased by his son, Douglas M. Rochford; his brother, Edward M. Rochford; and his son-in-law, Thomas E. Robidoux, as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire to St. Bridget Church for Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours were held on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
