Hunter Nets Four Goals In CWPA Championship

Senior Emily Hunter, a Cheshire resident and 2008 graduate of Choate Rosemary Hall, represented Connecticut College in the Collegiate Water Polo Association Division III Championship at Grove City College (Pa). The fifth-seeded Camels defeated Macalester (St. Paul, Minn.; fourth) 6-3 yesterday and Wheaton College (Illinois; third) 11-4 today to place third. They lost 13-3 to the top-seeded host team from Grove City.
Hunter, a three-time captain, contributed four goals. Junior Kristin Lampley (All-Tournament) scored eight times and added three steals. Junior goalkeeper Pam Lovejoy compiled 25 saves for Head Coach JJ Addison.
