The following information was received from the Public Safety Commission:
So far, winter has been unseasonably mild. Many people are spending more time outdoors enjoying the nice weather.
If you are cycling, walking or jogging on a public road, remember to wear bright, reflective clothing, no matter what time of day.
Bicyclists should ride with traffic not against it. Parents should ride single file behind children where you can see them.
If you are walking or jogging, use sidewalks where available. If jogging on the road, run against traffic.
A)You can see traffic in front of you and avoid vehicles that don’t see you.
B)You will see emergency vehicles as they approach
C)You will see ice/ water hazards as vehicles approach and be able to avoid them.
