Library Still Has Several Activities Planned For Kids Before The End To The Year

The end of 2012 might be fast approaching but there are still several events planned for the family before the calendar turns to January. Here is a quick list of upcoming programs:

Family Drum Time – Thursdays, 22 and 29, from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m.
For children ages 3 and up. Family Drum Time with Edward Leonard is an educational drum circle designed to teach children the basics of music while playing interactive rhythm games. Children will have the opportunity to play hand percussion instruments from around the world. Please register.

Magic Show and Workshop with Ed Popielarczyk – Wednesday, Dec. 28, at 10:30 a.m.
Appropriate for ages 3 and up. Ed Popielarczyk is a professional magician, balloon sculptor, flea circus ringmaster, and storyteller. This is a comedy show that uses a lot of audience participation—the kids will be the stars because they will make the magic happen! Please register.

Magic Workshop with Ed Popielarczyk – Wednesday, Dec. 28, at 1 p.m. For ages 8 and up. This magic workshop will teach tricks using items easily found in your home. Learn the “secret” to the tricks and then perform them for the other participants! Please register.

Energy Science & Emergency Survival Workshop – Thursday, Dec. 29, Session 1 at 2 p.m., Session 2 at 3:15 p.m. Eric Nelson will introduce children to static electricity, electronics, and some emergency survival skills through fun hands-on activities and short demonstrations. Please register.
