Dr. Petit Presents NHHR With Check

Dr. William Petit, trustee of the Connecticut State Medical Society (CSMS), presented New Haven Home Recovery (NHHR) with a $5,000 grant to support shelter operations.
NHHR received 357 phone calls from families requesting shelter in the month of September alone. The number increased 253 percent from September 2010. The support of CSMS will provide more supportive services to families in shelter so they can become housed quickly.
“This donation will truly make a difference for the women and children NHHR serves,” Kellyann Day, NHHR Executive Director explains, “We really appreciate the support of the Connecticut State Medical Society.”
