Have Nothing Planned For The Weekend? Check These Local Activities Out

The weather is expected to be a little chilly this weekend, but with no rain in the forecast it appears to be a good time to get out and enjoy a few days off (before a few more days off next weekend for Thanksgiving).
If you're still trying to figure out what to do, you might want to check out a few of these local events:

*Friday, Nov. 18
Cheshire Academy football game versus Choate Rosemary Hall
NEPSAC Bowl Championship
10 Main Street
7:30 p.m.

Okay, the football season is winding down. Next week will feature Cheshire High School's annual Thanksgiving Day Game, but this week, Cheshire Academy takes to the field in pursuit of the NEPSAC Bowl win. The game starts at 7:30 p.m.

Main Street Cafe
209 West Main Street
8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

If you feel like grabbing a snack or a coffee this weekend, why not stop by Main Street Cafe and let some of Cheshire's finest serve your and your family. Several police officers will be at the Cafe this weekend, serving coffee and any other desired treats to expectant customers. All tips collected go to help the Police Department raise funds for health awareness.

Cheshire Cross
Cheshire Park
Races begin at 9:30 a.m.

Are you a biking enthusiast? Want to enjoy a day riding around Cheshire while competing against some other avid riders? Cheshire Cross invites riders of nearly all ages to come and race across different local courses that stretch over different terrains and provide picturesque views.

*Saturday, Nov. 19
Hot COCO Race
Norton School
414 North Brooksvale Road
Beginning at 10 a.m.

Hundreds of participants are expected to once again turn out this weekend to run in the Hot COCO 5K Race. The race benefits Cheshire Abilities Without Boundaries, formerly known as Cheshire Occupational and Career Opportunities. Come enjoy a crisp fall day, some exercise, and a chance to help be a part of a good cause.

*Sunday, Nov. 20
CHS Marching Ram Band Parents Association Train Show
Cheshire High School
525 South Main Street
10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Are you a train fanatic? Well, this is your weekend. The CHS Marching Ram Band Parents Association will once again be sponsoring a Train Show. There will be numerous displays spread out over several different sections.
