On Thursday morning, Cheshire police raided a home on Flagler Avenue in Cheshire and arrested three people for involvement in drug sales and possession.
In what police described as a "predawn raid," 74 grams of marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia such as scales and smoking pipes, and $8,900 in cash were seized from 53 Flagler Avenue. The three suspects, which includes one juvenile, were scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
The raid was orchestrated through the Statewide Narcotics Task Force, in conjunction with the Cheshire Police Department and other agencies. A lengthy investigation into the sale of drugs from the home is what lead to the arrests. Undercover officers were able to purchase drugs on multiple occasions from the property.
Arrested was Joseph Zimmitti, 23 and Paul Zimmitti, 21, both from the Flagler Avenue residence in Cheshire. Both men were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of paraphernalia near a school. Also arrested was what police call a "youthful offender," who also resided on Flagler Avenue. This suspect was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of paraphernalia near a school, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, and intent to sell near a school.
